New Cedar Deck with Slide and Rock Wall
The original deck on this house was a smaller builder deck with a sloped yard. They have a growing family that enjoys being outside and also invites friends over for gatherings. We tore off the existing deck and built a new 28×16 deck for the extra space to throw a BBQ, Sit around a table and relax, read a book in the Reading Nook, and have a spot for the kids to play. The reading nook would be furnished with probably a corner couch or similar seating and it’s under a custom triangle pergola. For the kids, we built a slide right next to the stairs. We also built a custom rock wall which is about 10′ off the ground. I have a feeling the rock wall won’t just be used by the kids. I know my brother and I had to personally try the rock wall out. This was a very fun deck to design and build, I enjoyed the excitement from the homeowners.
