Roof over Trex
These are amazing clients that we have built a deck for in the past at their old house. The original deck on this house was a standard “home builder” deck on a very flat back of the house. We decided to build a new 16×14 deck with a full gable roof. The material on the decking was Trex’s Capped Composite Decking in the Transcend Series with Tiki Torch for the decking color. We then installed Westbury’s Full Aluminum Railing in the Tuscany Series and Black in Color. To finish the custom look, we added a TopCap or Drink Rail to the railing with a matching board from Trex – Tiki Torch. With the design of the roof, we decided on a vaulted gable roof while keeping the vault continue to the outside because of their great view. Also their deck faces East so it only sees the sun in the morning, so we took advantage of it. We installed Cedar Car Siding on the ceiling with 4 LED lights and a ceiling fan. At the end of the project, the homeowner made us an awesome gift for us and one for himself using our cut-offs from his deck material – a 6 Pack Beverage Caddy. He used a deck board for the bottom of the Caddy and a cut off from the railing spindle for the handle. He then finished it off by branding our Deck & Drive Solutions Logo on the ends. To top it off, he even filled it up at the end of the job. Great Project and Great Clients to work with!
