Trex and 2 Color Westbury Rail
The original deck on this house was smaller without stairs. The homeowners moved into this house this Summer, but had no access to the lower floor with the existing patio and fountain on the ground from the main floor’s deck. They were looking for a larger deck with stairs using a low-maintenance decking and railing. We drew out a few design schematics and picked this design. Then we looked at decking colors to match their existing wood floor from their kitchen to the outside decking (Trex – Tiki Torch Color). The new custom part of this project was the railing. We often use Westbury’s Railing but usually keep it one color for the post and rail. This deck project, we chose to do 2 colors for the Westbury Railing. The railing posts were 4″ Westbury Aluminum Railing in Clay color and the Rail was Tuscany style with Ninety Bronze. The 2 tone rail really sets this custom deck to the house and turned out great!! To finish the project, we added Post Cap Lights and Riser Lights. Next year, there plan is to do some more landscaping and another patio area on the ground. This outdoor space will have a great outdoor entertaining areas for many years of enjoyment!!
Update: The next year, the homeowners’ wanted us to wrap their structural posts/beam after they finished their patio updates. We came back in Fall and installed Trex Fascia & Risers (Tiki Torch Color). Now their backyard is 100% Complete and the total project looks great!!
