Trex Signature Rod Rail Deck Resurface

This multi-level deck transformation gave these Urbandale homeowners more than just a refreshed outdoor space, it completely upgraded how they use and enjoy their backyard. The existing structure was resurfaced with low-maintenance Trex composite decking and paired with one of the standout features of the project: Trex Signature Rod Rail.

The horizontal rod rail creates a clean, modern look while preserving the beautiful views of the surrounding trees and landscaping. Combined with the multi-level layout, the railing helps the space feel open, elevated, and connected to the backyard.

Below the deck, we created a fully finished dry space patio using Trex RainEscape and a ChamClad Sun Bleached Oak ceiling. Wrapped columns, stone accents, recessed lighting, integrated speakers, and a ceiling fan transformed the area into a comfortable outdoor living room protected from the elements. The result is a functional, low-maintenance space that can be enjoyed from morning coffee to evening entertaining.
