Timbertech Deck Featuring Patio Chess Board

This was a fun deck to do. The homeowners wanted a good outdoor area with many activities. The backyard also faces the South West so it sees sun on the hottest of the day. We then built a pergola over half the deck including there dining room door because of the hot sun. Also we kept in mind the shaded area under the deck. We added steps on the side of the deck/house with 2 stair ways. One way to get to the patio and the other set to get on the deck from the driveway or front of house. The decking is Maintenance Free Timbertech PVC Capped Composite (Pacific Walnut) and Full aluminum Westbury Railing (Tuscany – Black). The railing we added some style – large posts on the corners and smaller posts in the middle of spans. The landscaping was done from Earthly Possibilities. They even put a chess board in the patio with stones.
