What is an Under Deck Drainage System
An Under Deck Drainage system catches rainwater and snow melt that seeps between the deck boards. That water is diverted away from the space beneath, leaving the below deck dry. There are multiple brands of drainage systems and some are installed on top of the joists and before the decking is installed, and some are installed below the joists. There is usually a gutter installed on the dropped beam, then a downspout on the side of a post and then flushes the water out below.
