This deck project is a true testament to innovation, aesthetics, and creating outdoor spaces that exceed expectations in the room and design of a backyard with an underground septic tank. This project was a special one for us, as it marked the introduction of Timbertech’s latest color, Reserve – Reclaimed Chestnut, in the Des Moines Metro Area (Johnston).
We used an oversized engineered Glulam beam to for the obstacle of a septic tank, we elevated the deck’s design by upgrading to a Glulam beam. This structural innovation allowed us to span a greater distance, resulting in a significantly larger deck for the homeowner to enjoy. It’s a testament to our commitment to finding creative solutions to challenges while maximizing usable space.
**Timbertech Reserve – Reclaimed Chestnut Decking:** The star of this project is undoubtedly the Timbertech Reserve – Reclaimed Chestnut decking. This new color choice offers a light color and inviting look that harmonizes beautifully with the natural surroundings. It’s a unique and striking addition that enhances the overall aesthetic of the deck.
**Dark Roast Accent Board:** To add visual interest and depth to the deck, we incorporated Timbertech’s Dark Roast boards as accents. This darker hue perfectly complements the Reclaimed Chestnut color, creating a sophisticated and eye-catching design.
**Westbury Aluminum Railing:** Safety meets elegance with the addition of Westbury’s aluminum railing. This sleek and modern railing system not only ensures a secure boundary but also provides unobstructed views of the beautiful surroundings.
The result is a much larger deck space that offers the homeowner ample room to relax, entertain, and enjoy the outdoors. This project embodies our dedication to creating outdoor environments that seamlessly blend form and function, all while pushing the boundaries of design possibilities.
