Simplified with Cedar
The homeowners just recently bought this house and the backyard was full of decks. A main larger deck, then half way down was an odd spaced deck. Also covered with dark lattice and a very private railing. Goal was to create one main outdoor living area on the deck with an opening under the deck for future expansion. Once we removed both decks, this house had a backyard. We then built a new 18×16 Walkout Deck using Cedar Decking and Cedar Post Rail with Cedar 2×2 Spindles. We then added the corner posts to be 8′ tall so they can hang some Italian Villa Lighting. The complete new (1) deck also created a yard with soon to be grass so they can play yard games and the kids can now play without so much deck in the way. The complete project turned out great and now many useful outdoor areas. Many years of new Memories will be made with this backyard!!
