Covered Deck with Phantom Screens

This Waukee homeowner had a unique situation. This house is on the golf course and the back yard is angled in a way that they get a lot of golf balls driven in to the side of the house and deck area. They had an outdoor table that has tiles on them that would get broken from flying golf balls. We were looking for ways to stop the blow. The covered deck also has a lot of sun throughout the hot summer months. Through some ideas, we agreed to a motorized screen made from Phantom Screens which we added to the existing covered roof that would surround the 3 sides of the deck. The complete job was to remove all the existing decking and railing, then install a new Timbertech PVC Capped Composite Decking with a darker accent boarder. We then added a Westbury Full Aluminum Railing (Rivera Style) with a double rail to create a clearer view to the golf course. The Phantom screens were then installed. There are a total of 3 screens and they each have a different percent of light that can pass for sun/heat and also a clearer view in the front. This phantom screen can be closed or open from the remote or a smart phone. Now this deck can be a covered deck or a screen room – the choice can be made and changed. This project turned out great and all ideas were covered.
