Big Covered In Between Deck

This deck was a very fun deck to build. The West Des Moines homeowner had a daughter that was getting married this Fall and he had a lot of projects to complete before the reception which was to be held in this backyard and deck. When I first showed up, there was not a deck on the house, but there was a miscellaneous room above a breezeway from the house to the 2 story garage. The homeowner wanted the misc room to be replaced with a covered deck that matched the roof line. Also add a 2nd covered portion above the guest house above the garage and have it all connected as one large space. Our summer was very busy with projects but the homeowner needed the deck done quickly. We had all Deck & Drive Solution Crews help build the deck, railing, stairs, and roof in 8 long days. The days after, we had the electrician complete lighting throughout the roof soffits lights and (4) ceiling fans. Then we could complete the Cedar Car Siding for the ceilings and Trim. The deck is made from Timbertech’s PVC Capped Composite Terrain Brown Oak with a Full Aluminum Westbury Black Railing around. This deck project can be seen from the road above the brick wall and also a large portion is uncovered at an angle from the backyard. The TV was also installed to complete the outdoor living area. The homeowner loves it and the wedding reception had many compliments on the project. The backyard had a total transformation that blew everyone’s expectations!!
